Machine vision for monitoring an industrial process at Foxtel Oy

The main goal is to monitor industrial equipment with a non invasive system, by using machine vision.

The system runs on a Raspberry PI and it uses Open CV with Python wrapper. Open CV was compiled, built and installed on the target device.

It is a pity that the video does not show nicely the technology. The real challenge in this development was to make the system robust and resilient so that it can deal with  camera calibration, changing lighting conditions, network connectivity lost, low bandwidth,  monitoring and recovering script from errors and remote management of the device.
